Hey Ladies! God blessed us with a wonderful retreat in April.  He changed and challenged us.  If you were not able to attend I hope you will next year.

  This month’s spiritual focus is the Armor of God.  We have to be in God’s Word daily.  If we are not praying to Him and do not have a relationship with Him, we won’t be able to fight against the sin of this world. 

  Ephesians 6:10-18, “Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.  For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.  Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.  In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.  Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

  I pray that you study God’s Word with a hunger to know Him and make Him known.  I encourage you to stay in the Word and pray daily.  God is the only way that we can resist the “tactics of the devil” {vs.11}.  I will be emailing you weekly to talk about the different parts of armor in more detail. 

  Our ladies night out will start back up this month.  We will be going to Jim N Nicks on Friday, May 24^th at 6:30.  We will meet at the one in Alabaster.

  We are starting another Bible Study this summer.  The Law of Love: Lessons from the Pages of Deuteronomy a lecture study by Beth Moore.  It will be on Thursdays June 6^th-July 18^th.  We will meet in CLC room 106.  You can choose from two classes, 10:00am or 6:30pm.  Please sign up in the foyer or email me to let me know which class you are attending.  The $10 for the book is due no later than June 27^th. 

  If you have not filled out a Women’s Ministry Survey please do so.  This helps me know what you need from the women’s ministry. It is so we can help provide you with tools for growing in Christ and making Him known everywhere.  You can get this in your Sunday school class or email me for a copy.  There will be women’s ministry brochure out soon to tell you of all the opportunities to serve and grow.  You ladies are wonderful! Keep seeking the Lord and loving others as He does.
